I OWN TWO NIKON OMEGA RIFLE SCOPES.  I CURRENTLY HAVE EACH OF THEM ON MY TWO IN-LINE BLACK POWDER RIFLES.  QUESTION:
IS THERE ANY REASON WHY I CAN'T OR SHOULDN'T USE THESE SCOPES ON MY DPMS .204, .223 OR BOLT ACTION .223'S?

I am quite familiar with the Nikon Omega and have used it on a musket for several years. This year I took it off and decided it was time to upgrade.  Quite frankly I will suggest that you not select to use the Omega on your centerfire rifles not because it wont work but because the BDC is not designed for high speed bullets and because the glass is really not very good compared to other possible options that are available.   Let me suggest some possible options for you to consider. First lets start by saying that the correct mount for an AR will not be cheap so when you make the choice to go from iron sights to optics you need to understand that there is a huge differnce in mounts.  I prefer La Rue however BOBRO and  GG&G are also good mounts most of the others I have tried and dont care for.  A correct mount for an AR allows you good access to the charging handle.  I am not going to suggest any ultra expensive scopes but I will suggest you spend enough money to get true quality.  Consider these:

The only (potential) problem I can see is eye relief.
The reticle subtensions aren't much different than a lot of other BDC/holdover reticles.

I hope you try it, and let us know how it works out.
