I'm trying to decide on a scope to put on my .270.  I'll mainly be using the rifle for deer hunting and low light performance is my primary concern.  My price range is in between 300 and 400.  I'm pretty much set on a Nikon, but I have changed my mind before.  I want a 50mm Objective Lense at least a 4-10 power.  I'm leaning toward the model 6530 at $330 on SWFA.  The model 6607 has illuminated nikoplex, but it is $120 more and I'm not sure it is worth it.  I was looking at the Buckmaster series but I'm not sure about the Parallalax.  Is the monarch a good choice?  Would one of the Buckmaster series scopes do the trick?  Would the Monarch Gold be so much better that I should up my budget?  I don't even know that the boss would buy off on upping the budget.

the monarchs are on sale at www.swfa.com - pick em up while you can - you won't regret it.

they are a big step above the buckmasters. (and buckmasters aren't bad)

The 6533 is the scope for you $330.00 is an excellent buy. The BDC is very good feature for a 270.

Let me tell you guys, or I guess I do not have to tell you.  I have looked every where.  The Nikon Morarch scope prices at SWFA are far lower and I mean far lower than anywhere else on the internet.  I may even buy one.

So to my understanding there is a new line of UCC's coming out?  Or is it just Monarchs in general?

I scored a 4-12x40mm BDC for my Steyr-Mannlicher .260 and I'm seriously considering buying a 3-9x40mm or 2-7x32mm Nikoplex for a planned purchase of Ruger's new Hawkeye in .338 Federal.

Great scopes at unbelievable prices!

Actually the Monarchs are a bit cheaper at (competitor). Unless you plan to hunt at night you dont need a 50mm objective or illuminated reticule on any good scope in the power range you want. Smaller objectives also mount lower which gives superior mounting and cheek weld. The 4-12x40 monarch should be an excellent choice.
