I have a chance to get a Monarch 3-9X40 for $202.49. Would this be a better scope than a Sightron SII or Burris Fullfield II? Also, does it matter when the Monarch was made, have they made changes in last couple of years? |

Get the Monarch.
I don't think Nikon has changed anything on the Monarch line. The Buckmaster's coatings were upgraded this year I'm told.
Best of luck!! Edited by cheaptrick |

Well, opinions differ of course.
See if you can look at the three side by side. I'd go with a Sightron S2 (unless you need a holdover reticle like BalPlex which makes Burris pretty attractive). Ilya |

That is a good price, however hard to pass up the Burris offer with the free binoculars while supplies last.
