I just noticed that SWFA has received some Nikon EDG 10x42's, that are on the sample list.

I have had a pair of these for several months and am really pleased.  The brightness, handling, balance, etc. is excellent.  I have others to compare with, including Swar. 8.5x42 EL, and these are better in many ways, imho.  I like the premium Nikons, the edge to edge
clarity and sharpness is very good in all of them.

So, if anyone is looking for a premium 10x42, take a look, you won't be disappointed.

Can you compare it to another pair of binoculars?
I mean, not a Swaro...
Few people have used them. What about Zen-Ray? Or Pentax ED? Or high end Swift models?

Thanks a lot :)

A friend of mine had 2008 model EDGs and complained that the right-side diopter would not stay put. He exchanged them for Swaro ELs.

I did see where over on birdforum someone stated that they felt the 10x42 EDG was "better" in several areas in comparison to the Nikon SE 10x42. They clarified the statement extensively but even to make such a reference in any sense says worlds to me about the EDG. I did have the opportunity to try the 10x42 EDG at one of the local conservation centers and I was very impressed with their optical performance. They certainly belong with the likes of the 10x42 S/L/Z's.
