hi i have a bushmaster ar15 and i would like to put a fairly large scope on it so i can shoot 3 to 400 yards accurately. i've spend quite a few hours making my decision on a scope. and i realize that i could spend a lot of money on a scope but i cant bring myself to spend more on a scope than i did on my entire gun. but i found a nikko stirling targetmaster. its like 350$ and i know i may get what i pay for but i have only read 100% positive reviews
can anyone tell me anything about them. by the way its 10-50X60

The further away you want to shoot the better quality of a scope you need.  A cheap scope with high magnification is the worst of both worlds.

The Nikko's have a cult following with the airgunners, but not much outside of that.

Reread the rules.  Posting of other companies sales links is a no-no. I had problems with your link.  SWFA handles Nikko also, try using that link instead.

Large magnification range combined with cheap price usually equals poor image quality. Without reading some reviews or trying one on a gun, I´d skip this scope.

I had one of their 6-24x56 Nighteaters and in my opinion it was one of the worst scopes that I've ever used. On the other hand their 3-10x 40 Nighteater is an ok $150 scope. The target scopes I can't speak for.

I have a 6x36 (fixed magnification) Nighteater on my Savage .22 which is nicer than some other options I looked at for the same price in that corner of the market and I've had no problems with it. That said, for a variable magnification scope on a centrefire I'm more inclined to stick with well respected brands/scopes that have built up people's trust over a long time.
