Is there anyone who have experiences with the NF  5.5-22 x 56 NXS?

I'm looking for a quality riflescope for both close and long range hunting.

Yes, there are several here with experience, is there a specific question?

Nightforce makes a quality optic, but I would not consider a 5.5-22X to be good for close-range hunting (depending on how you define close-range.)

It is a very durable, not light-weight scope.  If it will be mounted on a 10-pound gun, it's fine; if you plan to mount it on a stalker, I'd reconsider.  It is large, it is heavy, and 56mm is a large bell.

If you would, please define what long-range and short range shots will be (25 yards to 600 yards?)

I highly recommend Nightforce for tactical or competition guns, but seldom for hunting.  Give a little more detail and that might change in this case.

Thanks for your answer and off course I can give some more detail.

The problem is that I'm looking for a all-round scope which I can use in the night for wildboar (25 yards) and in the daytime for deers 25-300 yards. At the same time I'm going to New Zealand doing some  mountain-hunting and then I need a scope for the some long range hunting.

I know that you can't get a scope suitable for every purpose, but when I saw the Nighforce 5.5-22x I thought that this could bo the right for me.

Well if 25 yards in your minimum then 5.5x is way to much.  I would look for something with at least a low end of 3x lower would be better.

I realize this scope is crazy expensive.  But it would fit your needs very well.

If your longest shots are 300 yards, then 12x would be plenty.  6-9x would actually be plenty for that distance.  But this Swaro will give you the best of both works magnification wise and has about the best glass you can buy which will be great for low light hunting.
