So what do you guys think about ZeroStop from Nightforce?

I'm thinking about getting a NSX 1-4x24. Not sure whether or not to drop the extra $175 for ZeroStop. (About the price of a Larue mount). Would it be really useful on a 1-4x?

It depends. ON a 1-4, maybe not so much.

The zero stops I've used were for the purpose of spinning back down from a long-range shot back to the original 200-yard zero.  With a multi-turn knob, it is easy to get lost; the zero stop allows you to get back to zero without fear of going too far or not far enough.

For long-range scopes, I really like a zero stop: for a scope that will not be doped much, I can't justify the expense.

I'd recommend you get the one with no zero stop (but if I get the 1-4 (which I am considering) I'll get the zero stop: better to ahve and not need than to need and not have!

Thanks Rancid. I'll probably opt out of the ZeroStop and just put the extra money towards a Larue mount.

I was leaning more towards no since it's only a 1-4x. I'd probably get it on a scope with higher magnification.

LaRue makes good mounts, I have one of their 1.5's - mounted backwards on a Springfield SOCOM 2, it was the only way to get the scope close enough for the necessary eye relief.
