Which is better one pc. Mount or single rings? Can I get 20 MOA can't with single rings without shimming? All help very appreciated.

I've fooled with both and much prefer a mounting system like a Bobro, Aadland, or some such. You can get the 20 MOA of lift with a Aadland mount.

Get a mount made for that platform.  Mounting with rings will be a pain, and still might not end well.

Aadmount, Bobro, or American Defense.

If you must do rings, you need a riser too.
The plural of "anecdote" is not "data."
