Hey all,
I'm looking to purchase a night vision scope for an AR. I don't want to break the bank but I'd like something decent. I'd like to stay under 1500.00 Any recommendations?
Thanks,
Shawn

Unfortunately you will not find a decent night vision scope for much less than $4000.00 and you might have to spend more.
The cheaper scopes available have a tendency to get fuzzy and then die because of recoil and the range is limited to around eighty meters.
To get beyond that in a good quality unit is expensive.
I have had to spend at least $1,700.00 on a decent Gen 2+ monocular (Fujion 910).
Going up to a ITT tubed Gen 3+ monocular is around $3,300.00+ so the scope will be more.
If you buy cheap you will have to replace it fairly soon and will have wasted your $1500.00.
Good luck.
Thanks

Save your pennies and hope that the digital scopes become available with night mode.
Or look at really bright illuminated reticle scopes like Trijicon Accupoing 2.5-10x56

The other option is to light the area with an ND3 Laser

Awsome,
Thanks for the feedback!
Looks like plan B, I'll pick up a RRA AR-9 and SBR it for the same $$$.
Thanks again!
Shawn
