I have mounted a NF Benchmark 8x32 on a Amschutz 54 SuperMatch 22LR of the year 1963 (in perfect conditions) by using a BKL cantilever 30mmm, adapted in place of the diopter. Shooting at 100m (125y approximately),  the elevation knob at the extreme,  the bullet comes about 2 inch above the target.

The BKL  one-piece mount has zero moa.

Is anyone able to suggest what could I do? I was only able to think to place a thin Al foil under the base, so that to mechanically elevate the front lense. I refuse to place anything under the mount ring, to avoid any damage to the tube.

I know that this scope was devised for long-range shooting with large bore guns. However, I intend to shoot at 300yards with the 22LR,  taking advantage of the 50moa correction of this scope, without the need to modify the mount. With 330m/sec ammunition, 45 moa should suffice.

Thanks for advice.

Welcome to the OT.

You do not want to raise the front lens. That will lower your point of impact. You need to raise the rear of the scope.

Also when they say that it has 50MOA of adjustment. They are talking total. Very roughly that translates into 25MOA up and 25MOA down. Could be more or less than the 25MOA up. But not 50MOA up.

I have a 54 action that was made in the mid 2000s and I was able to find 30mm Warne rings for it. Mine has an 11mm grooved receiver rail and is also drilled and tapped for scope mounts. But mine is a sporter and not a super match like yours.
