OK.  I took the advise of the Gang here and ordered my SS scope from SWFA and it is arriving today.  I am using an HK Stanag mount and HK 30MM rings mounted on an HKSR9T.  I am on the cusp of clueless as how to mount this guy.  The rings attach to the mount via an allen head screw.

Is there an alignment procedure with the rings?

How much do I torque the rings around the scope?

How much do I torque the scope (mounted in rings ) to the base

Do I mount the rings to the scope and then to the base or ring bottoms to base and then scope?

Do I use loctite?

Sorry to ask so many stupid questions, but I want to do it right and not hose anything up.  I already have some Federal Match grade 168 Sierra Boat Tail, ready to go.( and a bore sighter)

you dont want to tighten the rings TOO tight, it can damage the base, or the rings, and the same way when screwing the scope in, and you want to not over tighten the rings, because it can crush the scope tube. i torque the rings to bases with 65 inch pounds, and the scope in the rings with 15 inch pounds, i never torque the bases, but i would do about 10 inch pounds aswell. no loctite, and you mount the base to the gun, then the rings to the base, then the scope in the rings, and your going to want to try to get the cant out of the cross hairs. a gunsmith will do it for you properly for $20-30.
