Hi all newbie here...Need some help on this one.. Not quite sure which way to go.
Here is what I have currently..

Fs2000 w/ ior 2.5-10 223 bdc scope
rem ltr 223 w/ 3-9 Leo Vari x iii
SSG w/ 10x hendsolt. (keeping this as is)

The reality is that these scopes are used to hunt paper and cans out to about 300 yards. No hunting per se, but the tactical aspect is nice.

The ior is just plain too big on the FS. It is a really cool (if a bit bizare) scope. Very nice, very clear.

The Leo on the LTR is also nice. But.. I would like a bit more power for shooting distance. This has a standard crosshairs. the center tends to get lost against a black bullseye. No target knobs.

Does it make sense to dump the leo, put the ior on the ltr and put something else on the FS? Suggestions?

The FS generally shoots targets out to @ 300yds too.

Dumping the leo sounds like a plan

Move it to the other and get something else more compact for the fs. What do you shoot with the FS?

generally paper out to @ 300yds. I'd like to have an adjustable that would be good for close up, but still able to do some accurate target shooting out to @ 300..

acog is just way to $$$ at this point. If I were to go that dot route, I'd probably go the Eotech with a magnifier route.  the 1-4 power SS could be a really good fit as well.

Keep in mind that an Eotech with magnifier the dot size will be magnified too.

sure, go ahead and rain on my parade...
maybe the ss 1-4 or a nice fixed 4x makes more sense. But I am just not able to do really well on paper with a low power scope.

you kinda have to sacrifice almost on some to have that fast target engaugement and longer range accuracy.  Something like the SS1-4 would be good because of the true 1x power and then the 4x top end.

Move the IOR to the Remmy. Get a Burris for the other. You can trade in the Leupold and get a credit towrads the Burris as well.

Can honestly say I would have never even looked at Burris. Wow! not cheap! For that money, I'd be tempted to just go for something like a 4x Swarovski..

Burris is good stuff.  There is a nice used Swaro on the samplelist.  Great deal

It really wasn't my intention to strictly put this on the wtt board here. I was actually interested in input from people that know a lot more than I do. and thus far, all of you have not disappointed.

Thanks!
