Hello guys I'm a newbie to real optics and just git into long range shooting and building my first rifle but now that I'm debt free I will spend a great deal on a scope that I intend on transfering from rifle to rifle as needed ok I'm looking at the
SCHMIDT & BENDER MP2 WITH BORS UOR
LEUPOLD MK4 E/RT WITH BORS

RIFLES IT WILL BE USED ON IS A BARRET M95
ACCURACY INTERNATIONAL AX308
MARLIN 917 .17 HMR ON A AIRSOFT ACCURACY INTERNATIONAL AICS 2.0 STOCK.
WHICH IS a better choice and why bc I've done research on both and they both seem to be great scopes ..
And money rodent matter just quality!
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Screw the bors, save that money. Forget the Leupold too.

My advice, get a good scope for the rifle that will be shot the most, and decent scopes for the rest. I have played the "one scope, multiple rifle" game and it gets old. Fast.

While I think this comment was tongue-in-cheek, I have been comparing a new Mark 4 to a Swaro z3 and Vortex PST, and I can say that saying a Mark 4 is a Tasco compared to any other scope is just plain incorrect.

That said, the S&B scopes I have seen have been top notch in every way.

I was being sarcastic, however comparing apples to apples, a mark4 compared to an equivilant power S&B police marksman II does show a huge difference.

Mechanically it's a toss of the coin, glass wise the S&B hands down.I don't own a lupy but I do have a few S&B's.The other alpha you might want to take a look at is Zeiss Hensoldt!

Forget the BORS!
If you get multiple scopes the Mark is not bad.  I have 5 of them.
They don't rate with the S&B or Hensoldt.

If you need multiple scopes, go with the Sightron SIII 6-24, with either the matched MOA/MOA or MIL/MIL.
This is a second focal plane scope.  Great buy for the money.
You can get 3 of them for the cost of one S&B.
