 Hi Javali

I think everyone here will tell you how fantastic Zeiss products are. It is quite an unusual looking scope though, but i think the main concern would  be mounts. As far as i can see it mounts on the Zeiss rail system.

Victory Diarange 3 - 12 x 56 T*

I don't think we will see many outside of Germany, I think it will also be really pricey. I know Swarovski had something similar a few years ago, and you could have gone on quite a few hunting trips for the price the asked.

Regards Chris

In my opinion, these types of scopes and bino/rangefinder combos are a bad idea for the average person.  These things rely on electronics.  Shock, vibration, exposure to the elements are all the enemy of electronics.  No one is going to give a long term warranty on the electronic portions of these products.  The reason is, they know that given enough time and use the electronics are going to fail.  It is not a question of if, but rather when.  This is ok for the military who can have people to service this stuff.  This is a bad idea for the average hunter because it will eventually become cheaper for you to just replace the thing than try to repair it.  Do not think of a product like this as a lifetime purchase like you would anything else from Zeiss.  One day you will have an overly large and heavy scope that can do no more than a regular scope because the electronis are either no longer made or it will cost you too much to have it fixed.  A standard Zeiss scope will last forever and always be covered by warranty.  Handheld rangefinders are small and relatively cheap.  when the electronics eventually fail on your range finder, throw it away and buy another.  A scope is a scope, a rangefinder is a rangefinder.

I agree with ranburr.
Perhaps Zeiss ''needs'' to have a product like this.

I checked out both the Zeiss and Burris scope/rangefinder combo's last week at the SHOT Show, and while the Zeiss obviously had a huge advantage in the glass department, the Nikon wasn't anything to turn your nose up at.  The Nikon comes in at under a grand, so it would be a lot easier on the wallet as well, and includes mounts for Weaver style bases.
