Vortex is an excellent optics company, do a search using the word vortex and you'll find alot of the information your looking for.  I don't believe I've ever read a post negative to the vortex line.

Good scope for the money.

And is this the Tikka you said had good rings, no problems?  As I said, on a .223, the stock rings are fine.  When you go to something with some power, I recommend something else - but maybe that's just me complaining rather than reading the book so I'll know what I'm doing.

My experience with them is quite limited, as I only have one of their products, but it fits the bill nicely, and is quite good for the money. From what I can tell, they value their customers very much, and want them to be happy. I believe they'll do anything they can to earn the respect of their customers. There was a review done here by a highly regarded member of this forum. This would be a good option to put on that .223 Here is koshkin's review, have a look.

try using our search here, there have been a few of us here who have played with them and wrote reviews about them, i think most of them are in the member tested and review area.
