Hi, first time mounting a scope. I just got a Baer Ultimate varmit AR-15 and just ordered a Mark 4 4.5-14x50 30mm leupold scope and leupold med quick release weaver rings. Any tricks to mounting the scope, rings and to gun? Thanks for any help. robert

Strange forum? I visit plenty and first one I have seen that is not very active and no responses? Won't give up yet? Here is the scope mounted on the gun and ready for dialing in. Already bore sighted it.

Let me apologize and explain why your post went unanswered for a while.  I have been in Africa for the last two weeks, another key employee was also out for a week with the birth of his second child and one of our phone answers quit unexpectedly.  With three people out it was all the rest could do to answer e-mails, the phones and get orders out.

Looks like you got it figured out fine.  No tricks really as ar mounting is pretty easy.  Lapping the rings helps as well as de-greasing them.  Other than that slap them on, borestight it and get to shootin.

I shot it last week in Bass Pro 100 yard indoor tube. It shot great, the scope is awesome. Perfect fit!! About 1/16 inch off the floating hand guard and about the same off the charge handle. Got the last 20 rounds in less than a 50 cent piece fast firing, hope to get it down to a dime!!
