ok, so I have always been around firearms.  I have several, but most of them are hunting rifles and pistols.  needless to say ive been "out of the loop" for about 5 years now.

my uncle was an extreamly active firearm enthusist, he passed away a few months ago and i inherited his rock river arms ar-15 (never been shot) he bought it a week before he died.

its completely bare right now, i want to put a scope on it, but im stumped.  i have no idea what to even look for.

i want to use the gun for the occational hunt(whitetails and small hogs), but i want it to be accurate at least 100 yds but accuate at close ranges (10-20 yds).  am i asking too much? lol

what brand do you recommend?  keep in mind i have a tight budget at the moment.

i pretty much just want to do what my uncle would do.   go out to his land and sit on his tail gate with a 32 oz corona and a sand bag and enjoy the "quiet"

When you say tight budget, what does that mean.  That will dictate what we can recommend
