The reticles in the fixed power are positioned for the magnification that is used. This way the reticle is relative to the target.  Same principle.

Skylar, Are you planning on bringing the new reticle out in your 12X fixed. I really need the extra 2X but hate to miss out on a good sale.

Thanks

As always ILya, spot on in your assessments.  Thanks.

For those who would like to see some live reticle pics, here are some.  As always, don't try and judge the glass quality, etc, as it's more a measure of my photography skills at the moment (lousy) than anything else.  The light was fading fast making things more difficult as well.  But these should help give people an idea what they look like in the flesh.

My pictures were particularly bad with  the 3-15 Mil-Quad Dot.  I think the ocular focus was off a bit as all the pictures seemed to either have a sharp reticle or sharp target, not both at the same time.  Anyway just focus on the reticle, the glass is the same as the DM obviously.....

Here's an example of the ranging lines in use.  The Circle (what's left of it) on this gong is 9":

Larger Version:  http://www.jonaadland.com/Hunting/SuperSniper/2015Reticles/3-15SFPMilQuadDM500Range.jpg

If my hand was a bit steadier, you would see the circle covering 1/2 of the 500 yd line.   Alternatively, knowing the target was 9" one could find the line that fits and divide the range by two.  In this case the 1000 yd line did but I didn't get a decent pic of that.

Anyway, hopefully that helps people see what the reticles are like a bit better.

Thanks Jon A and ILya for putting together two great presentations of the 3-15 SFP scopes. I'm now sure that my purchase will be on point. You are much appreciated - thanks again.

My 10X with the new MOA/MOA I ordered on the Black Friday sale arrive today. The mailman was so late it was dark when he got here so I'll have to wait until tomorrow to look thru the scope outside. My first SWFA.

Either way, Chris is debuting this new product here with a nice price break.
The least you can do is be respectful of our host and keep your expertise to yourself.
You might consider Center Point Optics. I hear after buying a few of those, even you can dine like a king at McDonald's the very same day!

I just read your post

First of all I am not a dude,I am a 55 year old man.

Obviously the comment about living in my truck was said tongue in cheek.
For your information I am retired after having worked many years.

I was in now way form or fashion Disrespectful to Chris or anyone else.
I bought a 6xMQ during the sale and have bought From Chris before that.

If you dont like reading about my expertise as you put it the refrain from reading my posts.
Best I can tell forums are for sharing information and Opinions

I attacked no one but you on the other hand came up with this your smart aleck reply for some reason.

If you think that I was disrespectful to Chris or anyone else then your Reading comprehension
could use some help.

Its a dark dreary heavily overcast day here, perfect to check out a new scope to see what its like in the real world for color & clarity. I gave the scope a good visual before turning it outside. Parallax ring turned nice and smooth, windage and elevation turrets turned smoothly with positive clicks. Set it up to look at my normal new scope things outside, looks nice. I set up several other brands of scopes that I think are pretty good to get a comparison. So far I'm impressed, I like the reticle. It will probably be after the first of the year before I can test it putting lead down range.

Will this be going on the Charger or something else?

[/QUOTE]

I"m planning on putting it on the Charger clone for Wy-Shot next year.

I'm also building a 243 for Wy-Shot and the MOA. This 10X might get some range time on it until I figure out what I'm going to do for optics on that one.

The new 3-15 SS DM is looking good for a Norma 6xc that was recently started.

If they had the DM in FFP, I would have 3 on order already.  Just not sure I want a SFP.  I might break down and buy one for my 22-250 and move the Kahles over to my new build project.
