I'm buying a Swarovski American scope and was set on the TDS reticle until I saw the new Ballistic reticle..can anyone provide some advice re: which reticle to go for??

The ballistic reticle seems to offer more hold over points??

Cheers.

I have the ballistic reticle and really like it.  Included with the scope is probably 30+ ballistics stickers for various ammos you might be using.  let me know what it is going on and I'll let you know if they include a sticker that fits your needs.

Whether they list yours or not, they do have a few with no yardage and with those, you can put in your own data.

The scope is fantastic, great glass, great scope design.  You'll love it.  Unless you think Millett makes the best scopes, then maybe not so much.

Thanks for the input Rancid...re: 'cheap' scopes...I would find them useful to zero the Swarovski in on, I'm thinking they may make a good reaction target to plink at??!! Haha...

Its going on a .243W firing mainly 95grn Hornady SST's (Fallow and Sika Deer), 85grn Sierra HPBT (goats) and for our Red Stags 100grn Speer Grand Slams. But mostly 95grn SSTs. Velocity 2950-3000fps.

Did you get the 4-12x50?

Cheers.

There is a sticker for a .243W firing a 100gr. BTSP at 2960FPS - and that should align well with your ballistics.

The scope is money well spent. So much so that my Conquests will soon be gone, replaced by this very scope.  Maybe.

My Conquest is already gone, replaced with the Swaro 4-12x50 ballistic reticle. I went through the same thing a month or so ago, debating between the ballistic and TDS. I am very impressed with the ballistic.
