Better put something on the edges of the metal to protect your rifles.

Pieces of split water hose would work really well I bet.

I was thinking it needed some spray on bed liner on the top and inside to cut down the noise.  That thing will be louder than heck inside.   Every grain tank I've been in seem to amplfy every sound you make, but it ends up sounding like white noise after it all bounces around.

Points if you put a "scare crow" inside with a broom stick sticking outWink

Nice build Graham Excellent

Might want to cover the top as when it starts to rain the sound will draw the animal gaze.

And your body parts!!

Clever creation though. As stated, I bet that son of a pup will be louder than heck when you fire.

No humor from you guys this time.

I still think it is a little different to bait the birds and then take them.

G,
That's very creative.
Have you thought of insulation yet.
You know one thing that could work with you windows is pipe wrapping.
Put some gorilla glue on the inside of the wrap then set it. Keep you from getting cut up and scratching your stock.

I got an old water hose that I will be putting on the edges to keep it from cutting anything.  Also thought about hanging old sheets of outdoor carpet from the walls to cut down on noice.  Shot the 450 out of it Sunday just for giggles and its diffenatly not to be used without hearing protection on.  It will be placed in a area overlooking a large field, should work good for that.

I was concerned with that. You know great stuff could be used to insulate that and could help with the acoustics to baffle the noise.

i'll probably just double up on ear plugs and ear muffs this year and over the off season redesign with insolation, sliding glass windows and a few other "wants"......................  mini fridge, tv, toliet, recliner, computer, internet lol  Wink

I am going to set it up with a spiral stair case up through the bottom over the spring next year so I can close in the bottom with a trap door.

97% temperature barrier, polystyrene (won't burn), virtually indestructable, noise cancelling, bug resistant... $500??? that's a great deal.

My house is insulated with the stuff.  Amazing material...

Spend the money... you'll thank me later...

Can't justify that for it.  If it was gonna be a permanet fixture sure, it may change setup after this year so maybe once i figure out just how I want it then I will.
