Looks good! Typically, those Remingtons are sweet shooters.

No. This is the stock stock..the pillar bedded Hogue.  I like this stock...I would only upgrade to the full length bedded Hogue if I did anything.  Frankly, this rifle is more accurate than I am.  It works for me.  A budget precision weapon.  I just shoot targets.  I can tell you that the Timney trigger accounts for much of the accuracy.  The Super Sniper scope is one of the best scopes money can buy.  Period.

I had my factory one tuned and it releases right at 2.75lbs according the the pull gauge.  I love the stock as well. I mainly bought mine to dedicate to suppressed and it suprised me enough that I shoot it more without a can than I do with.   I just put a TPS base on and am going with the Bushnell 3200 elite 10x or SS 10x off one of my other guns now for this.

those r both beautiful rifles i would love to have one similar if not identical to then ive had a remy 700 in 243 win for several years now ive shot it out to 600 yards wen march is over and i can get a break in the wind im going to stretch it out to about 800 or 900 the only problem is the wind drift 90 and 100 grain bullets float sround quite a bit past 500 yards ive been trying to find a 308 remy 700 in good shape for a good price for quite some time now just havent found one i liked either it was beat to badly and needed to much repair work or was unbelivebly over priced

I am now shooting the 95gr berger VLDin the .243. Its shoots them well out to 300 yards and that is all my 11 yr old feels he can shoot right now so I haven't pushed him further. @ 100 yards I can do 5shot group in a 1/2 inch group off of bag and he dose it in about an inch and a half and hit bowling pins @300. The wind dosen't bother the bergers like i thought it would.

I have a rem 308win sps (varmit bull barrel)and love it. I shoot 168 gr bergers and its a fun rifle to shoot.
I got the xmark down to 2 pounds with no creep and did a few other things and its a shooter. I have a 10xSS. Its a good setup.

You can get both. I have shot stuff with both and didn't notice any thing different.

I haven't shot the hunting ones yet from the 308 but the target ones are nice.  some have said they just hunt with the targets but I will try the others and see if they fly the same soon.
