Just looking for reviews good or bad on the new bushnell 1000 range finder for bow hunting and gun hunting w/o arc ( moose up to 250-300 gun) yards is it small enuff to fit in your pocket. Is it better to get it with the arc setup. Is it easy to use with one hand. Or is ther a better range finder within this price range that is better. (my wife says i have only so much to spend, and you know if your wifes happy your happy) thanks

I just went and compared it to the Leupold RXII side by side and I like the Leupold better. To me the glass looked clearer. I don't like the fact that both use black led writing agaist the glass because it is hard to see. My friend uses a Leica rangerinder and though it does not have the ARC or similar, the LED in bright red is much easier to see in low light. The Swarovski also has a nice bright orange LED (but it's priced way too expensive and I use Swaro and for a range finder that is just crazy)
If you bow hunt from a tree stand and your going to be shooting at an extreme angle then I would say that an angle compensator would be a good idea. For general rifle use, I don't think you would be at a big disadvantage if your rangerfinder did not have such a device.
