I don't know what to do with my scope. It's a 4X12X40 leoupold thats 12 years old, should I get a new one with mil dots or have mil dots put in for $159.00. If someone could give me some advice that would be great. Thanks

I have that exact same scope with AO...and had new lenses put in it and I still would not invest a dime into it? I have removed it off my gun and will replace when budget allows.

Optics technology has advanced ALOT in the last 12yrs.  It's a GOOD scope as is. If I were you I'd make plans on upgrading to something more modern. Just an opinion though.
