I just purchased a Remington 700 SPS DM rifle. I am about to buy a Super Sniper 10x42 30 mm rifle scope for it. Is there anything else I need to buy along with the scope to mount it? If so please list. Thanks for help.

At the risk of sounding stupid....bases & rings.

Do you plan on mounting & bore-sighting the scope yourself? What kind of bases & rings are you gonna use?

I believe that is the short action .308 isn't it?  Note there is 230inches or 23MOA drop with .308 zeroed at 600yds to be on sight at 1000yds. So you want a plus MOA base if you plan to shoot out to 1000yds but to get to 600 you should have no problem with a standard base  (leupold, burris, whatever). After about 800yds the .308 drops below the speed of sound and is less stable and less accurate.  Badger medium rings should work.  That said I have standard Leupold rings and bases, but I would like to have the Badger and will someday when I have a spare $300+
