Hello All,

I been on the forums many times and have learned much.  Anyway as my title says, I plan on using a RRA 20" AR for an F-class league and matches starting this year - (ranges from 3-600yrds).  I have been searching and reading for months trying to decide on a new scope.  My selection has narrowed to a Bushnell 3200 5-15X Mil-dot Tactical that SWFA sells for $329.  I know its not the best in the world, but my budget is limited and and the $300 figure is were I'd like to stay.  I have a 10X Super Sniper on a 308 (and love it), but I'd like a variable on my AR.  Does anyone have any experience good or bad as it relates to this scope?  The league starts in mid April, so I'd like to get something soon and have time to use it before then.  Based on features, cost, and reputation, I think this is the best bang for my $$$.

the 3200 isnt a bad scope, and there has been some rumors of variable power supersnipers in the near future, i dont know any specifics, but i wouldnt feel bad about the 3200, especially since you have a budget, i would guess in that price range you have to be looking at one of the better scopes in that price and class

I think the magnification range would be about right, target turrets would be very important for that role of course.

Just be sure to try it out well beforehand to get the eye relief set up to be usable in all three positions.

( I'm assuming you're shooting Hi-Power matches, as an F-class participant? Or is this a specialized prone F-class event?) If you're shooting in the rapids, you'll possibly wish you had a little less magnification on the low end, but if you're set up right you should be okay.

Duce,

Does the TRS-1 have hash marks on the turrets to indicate how many revolutions you have turned the elevation knob?  With only 9 MOA per revolution, I see how getting "lost" could be a problem.  With my AR, going from 100yrds to 600yrds about 16-17 MOA is required and that means almost two turns.
