So here she is finally! The Sniper Central guys did a FANTASTIC job putting together this baby.

Remington 700 SPS Tactical in a B&C light tactical stock. It's a black webbing that is very slightly raised which really gives the entire stock a great grip and feel. 20" bull barrel which from what i've read up is the way to go with the .308 caliber. For some reason i've generally found that the shorter barrels 20-22" really drive the rounds down range inside of 500 yards. The SC guys have a great article on the barrel length comparison in the .308 round. Right now a Bushnell Elite 6500 Mil Dot 2.5-16x sits on top and it's every bit as good as Ilya's reviews make it out to be. Definitely worth the $700+ spent on it. Very happy with the lower light capabilities. Still likely to be a holdover until that SWFA 5-20 comes out but i think it'll do well.

Came in at 10.75 lbs too, which was lighter than expected. And it really doesn't feel that heavy. Definitely can carry this down range if need be.

NICE!!  That oughta keep you busy for awhile.

I like short bbl'd rifles myself.  As long as they're chambered for a round that compliments them.

Thanks guys...yeah i've read from multiple places that set up really likes the 168 grain BTHP round and have 2 boxes of Federal Gold ready to go sometime soon. I've always had great luck with Hornady and will pick some up the next time im at Cabelas which is probably this weekend. I'll play around a bit as the .308 has such a wide variety, im likely to find a few setups that work really well.

Nice Paul.  I know it will be a shooter.  Mine loves the 168 hornady match bullets and the SMK's in 168 as well.

Very good looking combo Paul, making me jealous.  Looking forward to the range results.

p.s. looks like 8shots has been using SSG again on the rifle targets.

Nice stick Paul. I like the B&C stock, I know what you mean about the black on green and how it helps the grip. You mayalso want to try the SMK 175grs and Hornaday 178 AMAX pills.
