Hello,

Just joined and this is post number 1.  What caught my eye about this site are the reduced price offerings on scopes on samplelist.com.  What can you folks tell me about scopes you've purchased from the site?  Are they typically demos, any complaints about anything you've purchased, etc.  I've been thinking about getting a Kahles for my Browning Stainless Stalker .270, but the retail price is a bit high.  I like the prices on samplelist for the scope I'm interested in, but I'm a little hesitant about buying glass over the internet without looking through it first.  Thank you for your comments.

welcome to the OT i dont think you need to worry about anything from this site at all, chris farris will hook you up with whatever you need and stand behind it, best thing to do is try to find a place that sells the scope you want or know somebody who has what you want then when you look at it yourself you can say yeah i feel comfortable ordering that or no i think i want to look at something else, stuff off the sample list are demos, display models, close out models some are traded in and factory refurbished, just because a cars paint is scratched doesnt mean the cars a piece of crap, the scopes with ring marks are the same way.

Welcome to OT, Techsan.  No need to worry about anything off the Sample List.  I've bought 5 optics off the SL so far and have been totally pleased.  You can find many demo scopes with only light ring marks but otherwise in "like new" condition.  Some scopes on the SL are discontinued models that are still new in the box.

I'm a huge fan of Kahles scopes.  Any of their scopes would be an excellent choice.

I've bought several off of samplelist and all but one were great the other one was a factory defect and I sent it back and had no problems applying the credit toward another scope. I have also returned a new  (factory new - not samplelist but same company ) scope after looking at it and determining that it wasnt a good choice for the particular rifle I needed to put something on. There was no problem returning that scope and the people at SWFA have been great to work with. Buy with conficence that they will make any problems right - great customer service - none better anywhere.

While I was in Texas I dropped in and visited SWFA and was amazed at the huge number of scopes in the samplelist inventory - awesome!!!!
