Just found you web site and was looking for a spotting scope with as much power as possible. That would be at least 80 power and I'd rather have one between 90 and 100 power! so any of you out there can help me out, I'd certainly appreciate it.
This looks like a great site and it will take me some time to review it all and go over it to see everything.
Wishing everyone here a belated Merry Christmas, happy holidays and a new year that will bring everyone their wishes and a healthy, hardy great 2015!

With any high mag optic, remember that the first thing to be magnified is the flaws in optic. I just did a quick search of high power spotting scopes, many of which cost more than $3k, and not many go to 80x. Most were around 60x. These were scopes from Zeiss, Swarovski, Vortex, and Pentax.

Many lesser brands might go higher with magnification, but that does not mean you will see more detail.

I'd go for a field camera before I thought about anything like a 100X spotter.

Most spotters top out about 60X, mostly due to the necessary objective size to get anything close to a bright image. For a 100X spootter, you would need an objective in the 140mm+ range, which would be a telescope rather than a spotting scope.

I've researched a number of telescopes as potential spotters.  Really not anything out there acceptable unless you are only using it for BR shooting… definitely haven't found anything hunt quality (size, weight, usability).  Orion and Celestron make some reasonably priced, adequate systems that would be good for BR shooting… one of the ranges I go to uses telescopes for spotters… but I've really not found anything in the mag range you are looking at that I think is suitable for hunting… too bulky for the most part… if you pack it in, you have to pack it out...
