I finally gave in and added a new member to the collection.  I have wanted a smaller (size, not caliber) handgun for concealed carry.  My full size 1911 just feels too big and is harder to conceal.  Today I gave in and bought another one.  I love the feel of the 1911s, so that is what I went with.  This one is a Springfield 1911 Loaded Micro Compact 45 ACP.  I really like the feel of it, but still need to shoot it more.

Yes, that is the way I carry it.  Locked and loaded ready to go.  Not sure how I will carry it.  With my full size I used the SOB due to size and easy conceal under a jacket, but I think this will either be IWB since it is small enough for that.

I've ALMOST bought one several times.  Keep us informed on it... range report....  I really like the .45, but a standard 1911 is just too big for me carry concealed.

KB, I bought it for exactly the reason that my full size 1911 is just too big for conceal in my opinion.

Now onto another subject.  I got a killer deal on the pistol, and if you look at the second and third pictures you will see why.  Mainly the safety.  I talked to a Springfield rep in person today.  He has me all set up to have in fixed under warranty, free shipping both ways.  I will be fedexed over night Tuesday and will have it back in my possession on Friday.  That is what I call good customer service.

Those trigicon sights are great!  I still want to put a laser on it.  Probably will end up going with the Crimson Trace wood looking grips when I get the money saved up.

cant go wrong with those either! something else to think about...I'm not positive, but I think lasermax makes the internal laser for springfields now. Whatever you do to it, I'd like to see pics when its done!

Not sure they make it for the compacts.  Plus I like the simplicity of the grip sights.  I think the grips I can get for about 250 to 270.  The rep at the show said he could get me them for 270 for the wood style I want.
