what is the verdict on the new Leupold bino?  Anyone have any info they would like to share?  I haven't seen a pair yet.  I have heard the glass is from china, Germany and America.......I need new friends.

They still haven't found their way to my local Sportsman's Warehouse, so I'm still waiting "with baited breath" as it were....

If you are talking about the Gold Rings, they appear to be pretty good.  I was much more impressed with the new Bushnell Elites.  Personally, I don't think the GRs offer anything special for their price.  I must admit to only having a limited amount of time with them and I was comparing them with the Elites.

The Bushnell Elites look like they will be retailing for a lot more than the Gold Rings. I wonder if the optical difference between them will be worth the extra price for the Bushnell Elite binos?

To the top

The "Gold Rings" and the "Elites"  apper to be around the same price.

Has anyone compared these side by side with the big 3 euro binos yet ?

I havn't seen the Gold Rings yet but I looked through the 8x43 Elites after I compared the latest offerings from the big 3 and decided to buy the 8x42 Zeiss FL, I found the view of the Elites to be very clear and bright with a noticeably narrower field of view but their was something about the focus that I did'nt like it almost felt as though it was to loose, like it might move just by touching it without trying to turn it, kinda hard to explain, maybe it was just the pair I tryed, but the view was nice.
