With the on-set of tax season I set out to purchase a vehicle that would allow my family out in the woods more. This what I ended up with

And some of the pics of our recent trip into the woods around Stoneman Lake.

It is a '92. Has a lot of miles, but they are mostly tow miles, as it was pulled behind a motorhome for 10 years.

VERY GOOD vehicles!   I've got a '96 I bought last year off of a friend of ours who bought it new.  Only real upgrade it needs is a limited slip or locker rear.  First SUV or truck I've ever had without one.  They do make a difference.

I am also thinking about a lift, but that will probably have to wait awhile. Or I might find one that is not so clean and nice for my off-road adventure vehicle.

My go-anywhere rig. Be careful when you start customizing, it's addictive.

Nice Blazer svt, but lets see it get 20mpg@75 on the freeway! And pick its way through the narrows where my jeep can go? Sometimes raw power is good, but a clean line gets you there just the same. And it don't break the machinery!

Thanks Billy.

I would stop a real friend from buying one unless they really like things that are hard to work on and cause them a lot of stress. If you're good at your own wrenching and have good problem solving skills it's o.k., but if you have to visit the stealership, it'll cost you your firstborn.

11 mpg, premium only.

was 6100 pounds before I added a lot of heavy duty stuff, now weighs in around 6800.

Be glad you bought a Jeep, it's gunna be a lot easier on your wallet and you'll be just as happy. Thunbs Up

I bought the Rover as a huge UP YOURS to my ex when I got custody of my kids and quit paying her $1200 a month in child support. Chainsaw

Wasn't my best financial move, but it felt really good.
