I picked this up for a great price a couple days ago.  It is a Walther PPS 40 S&W.  I have wanted a 40 for a little while and after handling it for a while, it just felt right.  Nature easy aim, good feel.  Adjustable grip back.  Fit my hand.  I have heard they do good reliably feeding ammo.  I shot 50 rounds today at 10 and 20 yards (and I need more handgun time).  Never one malfunction at all.  Shot nice.  Didn't feel a whole lot different than my 1911 Compact 45 ACP.  Sharper recoil than the 45, but not any harder.  I was shooting federal 180s fmjs.

You weren't shooting Hornady 155s?

That is a fine weapon and a fine caliber.

It is loaded with the Hornady 155s for carry after I was done shooting.  All I have shot so far is the 180 FMJs.  Trigger feel like a glock to me, which is ok, but I don't like it as well as my 1911 Loaded.  I will shoot some 155s at some point, but they are pretty spendy just to shoot to get the feel of the gun.

Even though SD ammo is expensive, I will shoot several mags of what I am going to carry just to verify that it works in my gun. I do this with each magazine for that gun. I have had and heard of some guns that will not feed some SD ammo even though it worked in a different one. I would hate to find out my gun did not feed my SD ammo when I needed it.

I will Sparky, I just don't have enough at the moment.  I do shoot it to see how it prints and feeds.  Won't be my primary carry gun till it is thoroughly torture tested.  My 1911 Compact Loaded 45 ACP will remain in that spot for now.

I've handled that same model and it is on the short list of carry guns that I am looking to buy.
