Well for those not aware I've went thru some pretty fun experiences with scope makers the past couple months. A 3200 elite that had unadjustable parallax, and a 6 week return and wait before getting back into optics shopping. Than a sightron big sky that to add insult to injury, had parallax and lens issues that wouldn't allow me to focus it. OK scope buy number three.....will it be a proper scope that didn't slip past quality control? We'll see.......... well the 4.5x14x44SF conquest has shown up and is mounted and has been well wrung out for the last week or so. It has the usual optics I've learned to expect from zeiss, crisp, clear, and yes........ with that etched reticle I'm so fond of. Mounted it and preformed the square test........it was perfect and tracked excellant, it holds POI no problem and the side focus is stiff but not too hard to turn. It was off from the numbers on the dial and is parallax free and clearly focused at 100yds when set on the 125yd setting. I remarked the true distance and thats been it........great scope that is holding its own on a 1/4" varmint/target gun. I do turn the SF back to infinity whenever I want to readjust.......it seems to have better more exact adjustment control with the SF setting when done this way. All in all I'm impressed once again and give the conquest a thumbs-up for all around preformance..........I just wish they would market a rainguard like coating for the lenses soon
