It looks like everyone is trying to get apiece of the micro-dot pie, just look at all the clones of micro-Aimpoint and miniature Docter sight that are popping up.

Are you saying that you are willing to be a "guinea pig" on this one?

    yeah, probably so..
there's a clone out on AR15 running about 90 bucks and the guy told me if it didn't hold up under a 44 he would give me my money back including shipping

I had a Millet SP1 break after about 50 rounds
    all handloads.. arg
    I treasure my handloads
I was satisfied I had it sighted in good and was practing for a hunt that weekend and it crapped out..
    frustrating to say the least..
dealer gave me my money back with no hassle

Ultradots are about the only one consitently being praised as tough enough for big bore handguns.. guys that have broke aimpoints with them

a little hesitant to go with anything that isn't proven
though I like the idea of the tiny aimpoint mounted on top of the topstrap/rear sight as it would stlll holster easy (mine is slit there) vs over the barrel
I have the blackhawk hunter and had a scope for a while..

I have been playing with a Millett ZoomDot and have not managed to break it.  I saw it mounted on a S&W 500 magnum and, apparently, it survived just fine.
