6.5 x erector!!!!

I just found out that Bushnell will be offering a new Elite 6500 line of scopes that will consist of six scopes (three different models with two reticles each).

Bushnell Elite 6500 2.5-16x42 Matte, Fine Multi-X, 652164M

Bushnell Elite 6500 2.5-16x42 Matte, Mil Dot, 652164MD

Bushnell Elite 6500 2.5-16x50 Matte, Fine Multi-X, 652165M

Bushnell Elite 6500 2.5-16x50 Matte, Mil Dot, 652165MD

Bushnell Elite 6500 4.5-30x50 Matte, Fine Multi-X, 654305M

Bushnell Elite 6500 4.5-30x50 Matte, Mil Dot, 654305MD

A new 1.25-4x24 for the 4200 line up and a new 4-16x40 side focus and 4-16x50 side focus too.

Since SWFA's OpticsTalk forum seems to always be the place for breaking news, I could not believe that I am the first to post this info.  WOOOHOOOO!

I don't know all the details, so I'll let the guys at SWFA fill in all the details like tube size, focal plane, price, etc.

*edited to add a link, SWFA has them on their site now!

Interesting info, if they keep increasing the erector zoom potential it will only take a couple scopes to cover what used to take an entire line-up. I hope they consider a little heavier plex reticle option for their line-up. Sounds like some new blood in the elite series for sure. Wonder if all the elite 4200 with an AO will go side focus like monarchs? Thanks for the info.

I like the idea of a 2.5-16x42.  I would have bought that instead of a black diamond 4-16.  Good high end and low end.

Thumbs%20Down What can a 2.5-16 possibly do that a 4-16 can't, except be more fragile.  This is nothing but a marketing gimmick.

I'm a little leary about that erector power setting, I wonder will it hold up to the heavy kickers? I like the offerings it provides though.

well that depends on if they recoil test them to the same standard as the 4200, which of course as everybody knows is 10,000 rounds out of a .375 h&h (simulated) of course

If they hold it to that standard and give us a little more eye box and can keep the ER constant that would be fantastic.
