I think around the $500 mark, so just about $25 more than the 1" tube version.

Whoa!   Daddy like it!  Might be a good prairie dog .223 scope?

Looks like we will be at $569.95, but if you find a better price we will beat it with our 110% Low Price Policy.

Hi,

What are the specifics?  1/8th MOA clicks like their 6-24x50 40ao and 4-16x50ao, or 1/4, reticles and MOST importantly, total mechanical MOA travel?  My 1/8th click 4-16x50ao 1" tube has exactly 45 MOA from stop to stop.

Thanks, Chris

If memory serves me right, the 6-14x50 Elite 4200 will have 1/4 MOA clicks.  Not sure what the total adjustment range will be.

I think that it ranges on 12x.  Total adjustment is 45 MOA, 12 MOA per revolution.  I have not handled this scope personally, but recieved this info from the guys at Sniper Hide, that have bought some.  They look like really nice scopes, and the guys there seem to be impressed with them.  You're right 1/4 MOA adjustments.  Hope this helps some people out.

BTW, I looked in the online store the a couple of days ago for these, are they in stock yet?  Might have to pick one of these up, sounds like it would make a great varmint scope.  Have a good one.

Edited to add:  Might be better off adding a tapered base just to get some more elevation

I now have the scope, and it seems very nice. The reticle is identical to the 1" model, with mildots true at 12x mag.
BTW, the scope does not have the same tiny field of view that tye 1" version suffers from.
Be aware, it is quite heavy at 25oz.

Guesty,

I'm curious if the power stays true at the full range of magnification, I started dismissing this scope as a possibility given the 45 moa of adjustment and odd place for mildots to be on (does the 12x have some sort of detent or tactile feedback to let you know it is at 12x?  Reason I ask is if it's at the middle of the adjustment...you could throw yourself off if it wasn't perfectly on 12x)?  But then it occurred to me if the power magnification is properly calibrated, 6x should have the mildot subtending 2 mils and 24x should subtend 1/2 mil.  The 45moa doesn't really bother me because if this goes on my .223 varmint gun, it won't need a lot of adjustment.  Any feedback would be appreciated....Sand

Your calcs are correct that 24x mag should give half mildot and 6x mag should give double mildot measurements. There's no positive click or detent at 12x mag so it might be tricky to return back to exactly the same place every time to give whole mildot measurements.

Thanks....have you tried a box test on it to confirm?  I'm guessing the wind/elev adjustments are fine...I've never seen a problem with them for the 3200/4200's (can't speak for cheaper models) but I'm curious if things work out for the scenario above at 6x and 24x...I say this because unless you were on 12x perfectly....the mils would be off....but for what I want (.223 varminter)....I would tend to start at 6x for acquiring the little fella and then zoom in....so this scope sounds like a great option for me....anything else I've looked out seriously has been way out of my price range.  Right now I have a crappy 3-12x (due to brand....which I won't mention....FOV sucks/clarity is not bad/ and no AO) and I'd like a lot more magnification and quality.   Thanks again, Sand

Do you consider ebay when you offer that 110% Low Price Policy? I am just curious as I just bought one on Ebay for $500.00 New in the package, and the seller has more left? Just curious, new here so don't trample me! Thanks,

Jeff

110% Low Price Guarantee

If you find a lower price at any competitors store on a new identical item just show us the lower price when you buy the item at SWFA or within 10 days after your SWFA purchase and we'll give you 110% of the difference.

Our 10-day price-match guarantee is good on everything from optics to accessories. The item must be in stock and available for purchase at that price from a company (excluding wholesale or membership clubs) with a physical store location in the U.S. who is authorized by the manufacturer to sell the product.

  • Item must be identical: For example, it must have the same U.S. manufacturer's warranty. It must also have the same model number and contain the same components.
  • Price Verification: SWFA reserves the right to verify another company's product availability and price before issuing a price match guarantee. Computer screenshots is not acceptable as proof of a competitor's price - the lower price must be accurate and live on a competitor's site at the time of the price-match.
  • Other Discounts: Available coupons and rebates will be deducted from the SWFA price to come up with a new SWFA price when calculating the price match. For example, if you buy an item from us for $100 and we offer a $10 rebate, the net price is $90. If the item is available from another company for $90 or more, there will be no price match. Another example would be if you buy an item from us for $139 and you have a $30 coupon; the net price is $109. If the item is available from another company for $105 the price match will be for $4.40 (110% of the difference).
  • Shipping and Handling: These charges are included when comparing our price to another company's delivery price, the equivalent shipping and handling charges will be included. If proof of the other company's shipping and handling charges are not supplied, then our standard shipping and handling charges will be added to the other company's price. For example, if you buy an item from us for $100, with $10 shipping and handling, and the item is available from another company for $90 with shipping and handling charges of $7, then the difference is $13. You would receive 110% of $13, which is $14.30.
  • Special Offers: If another company offers a product that comes with a free or discounted item and SWFA does not carry the free or discounted item, there will be no price match. For example, if another company offers a free product with the purchase of a scope, and the SWFA price is equal to the company's price for the scope, there will be no price match if SWFA does not carry the free product being offered.
  • Quantity Limits: We may limit the quantity of an item that may be price-matched. For example, if the other company limits the number you may buy, we may also limit the number. In addition, SWFA reserves the right to limit quantities sold to a customer.
  • Exclusions: We don't price match products provided or sold at local or special events (e.g., gun shows, grand opening, anniversary, clearance or liquidation sales), items sold at wholesale/membership clubs (e.g., Sams, Costco), products sold on Internet auction sites (eBay, GunsAmerica, etc.) or products sold by distributors or wholesalers (e.g., RSR, Davidsons, companies that sell to dealers only). We also don't price match taxes, typographical errors or any item or price that includes a rebate.

Use our online form to report a lower price.`
