Hello everyone, I'm sure that this has been covered numerous time but I have tried to search with no avail. I have recently purchased my first AR15. I have been a competitive pistol shooter for sometime but I am inexperienced in the AR realm.
So here is my question, I have a Stag model 3 flat top. I ordered a Vortex Strikefire to go on it and I figured that picking a set of BUIS would be a simple task but the more I research the more information overload I go into. I just need some guidance in this matter. Not looking to spend a ton, just want a backup. Also, what is the best way to sight these in? Thanks guys, I appreciate the input.

I went with a set of Magpul's (MBUS). They seem to work well the little I've used them and I think I paid around $70 for the set.

Do you have a front sight now?

Life's concerns should be about the 120lb pack your trying to get to the top of the mountain, and not the rock in your boot.

+3 on the Magpul MBUS... They flip down out of the way when you don't need them and pop right up when you want them. Easy to adjust and seem to be pretty robust. I just zeroed mine 2 in high at 100 since if I am down to irons I am only really comfortable out to about 200. I know there are lots of guys here that are probably comfortable out to 600 and beyond with irons but I'm not one of them.
