Which would you get?  All are in the same price range so I don't care which is cheaper I want the one with the best image quality.  Thanks.

I voted for the Nikon Monarch ATB. I am sure some of those other binos are of high quality but they are mostly birder binos. I like my Nikon, it is a well made hunting binocular for the money.

Can't vote. You don't have Weaver on the list.

I've seen the Ultralites.   Ultra nice.  The 828's are a close second.  Equinox third.  SIII's fourth.  Monarch's fifth.  No experience with the Alpens... Bushnell clone, perhaps...?

Thanks for the votes.  I went with the Swift 828 HHS 8.5x44.  I got them on Friday and am happy so far.  Very good handling, lightweight, waterproof, clear, bright, etc.  The only thing is the focus seems a little slow but I guess you don't want it too fast.

Have you had a chance to use these side by side with anything else?  I am curious at how you will rate them against the field.

Me too - I am considering the exact same model due to the better eye relief and all the rave reviews I am seeing about them.

I have reviewed them side by side with the Audubon Equinox and the Nikon Monarchs.  The swifts were cleary better than the Equinox and looked about the same as the Monarchs in a dark corner of the store.  They don't have lights in the corner and have photos on the wall there to compare brightness.  Although I think the handling of swift is better than the monarch.  Overall I am very happy with the purchase.  I would also check out the Audubon Equinox HPs.  They will be in stores around here on Monday.  Reviews says they are better than the regular equinox.  The better view desired review and conversations with optics stores helped me pick the swifts in the end.  The swifts also have 0.5 more mag and still have an exit pupil over 5 mm.  I got mine for $289 and free shipping from competitor.  Good luck.

Today I also compared them to some Zeiss Classic 10x40 and I thought my swifts were pretty close but the other person liked my swifts more than their $1000 Zeiss!  I think the Zeiss was a little brighter.

I just looked at a Brunton Eterna 8X45 that was really quite impressive.  It was selling for $420 at my local archery shop. I liked it alot and would choose it over any of the models you have listed in the poll.  Yes, they are a bit more expensive, but they were definetely better than either the Nikon or the Sightron (brighter, better resolution, etc.)  I have no experience with any of the others you mention.
