Ok, here is the deal. I'm trying this load workup technique that I found over on snipers hide. I've never done a workup like this, but if I ever found a really good load it was by accident, so I thought I'd give it a shot.

I'm doing a ladder workup as described in this link.

I'm at the second stage where I loaded them up .2 gr. apart, and shot 3 shot groups of them at 400 yards. Two of the groups were about .6 moa with 1" of vertical. One of the groups had 0 vertical at all, but was 6" wide. Wind was about 6-10 mph today, so it may have played somewhat of a role. Two of the shots were literally in the same hole, and the third 6" to the right. Should I try to refine this load with no vertical in it, and play with seating depth? Which load would you pursue?

I would play with both of them a little bit.

I have done a lot of ladder loads working up testing for accuracy and pressure, but I have never done it with the bullets "Jammed" into the rifling.

Yes. I read on your other post that you did not pay heed to the wind while performing this test. So now I would start working on reading the wind. Take that variable out of the equation. 1 inch at 400yds vertical is great, 0 is awsome. Any of those loads are good to go to develop. Take a calm day and shoot again and see if it changes. This time take your time and try for the wind. With the temperature you were shooting at I would say the sweet spot might end up being a little lower as things heat up.

Good luck.
