Hi!

i have a question about Sighting in a Sightron SIII LRTD-TDT with 1/8 moa click.

I'm doing this for my boss, because his english is not good enough. So he has a problem. I hope i can describe it good enough for you to understand the problem, my english is not very good ether.

So, he has the scope sighted in at 100m (109,36 yards) at 1/8 moa click's.

Now, how many click's does it change the value so he will be sighted in on 300m ( 328,08 yards).

I hope you understand what I'm asking.

If you need any more explanation feel free to ask.

Thanks a lot.

To start with we will need the weight & type of bullet he is shooting [.308 @ 168grns etc.]& ojive, sea level will help, average all year round humidity. Is the bullet factory or reload.

There are alot of variances with this question, the other solution would be to go out & just keep shooting till you get zeroed out to 300m.When you have accomplished that, keep a log of your zero points.

No 2 guns even from the same manufacturer will shoot the same that's why it's important to make a dope book!

I'm sure a few more people will chime in with other suggestions.I hope I helped with your question.........

If he gets 1/8 inch exactly, it should be .41 inches at that range per click.  However many European and Asian made scopes that are sold as 1/4 inch per click are actually 7mm.

You will have to clarify what you really want to do.

You have sighted in at 100 yds and now want to know how many clicks you need to add in order to hit the bull at 300yds??

Or do you want to know how much will 1 click move you at 300yds if one click moves you 1/8 inch at 100yds?

These are two different questions and we are not sure which one you are asking.

Hi,

thanks for your answers.

@8shots: my boss want's to know, how many clicks are needed to add in order to hit center mass at 300 yds?

I'm sorry for not being clear with the questions, like I sad, my english is not that good.

Thanks

Your boss is an idiot.  Tell him to by a calculator and find out how to use his brain for something useful.  I am not his calculating boy!

Good grief! Sharkey ask what ever you would like to know. Most of us realize that when we were new we had to ask questions.

As far as you question is concerned we would need to know at the bare minimum what cal and what bullets he is shooting. With that info we could get you close, but you would still have to fine tune your POI.

You have a valid question but we do not have the input data to calculate the ballistic curve for the unknown rifle.
Caliber, muzzle velocity, Bullet (Type, weight and BC). This will get close. Adding in Altitude, Barometric pressure and Temperature will correct the curve to be even more accurate. The simplicity of asking hides the complexity of the answer. If he is shooting factory ammunition the maker and bullet used will likely be close enough for your boss. Please excuse Oldtrader3. It appears he may need another glass of prune juice today.
Welcome to the OT. Find out what caliber and we can help with the answer.

No problems with your English. I struggle with a lot of other languages.

Give us the dope asked for and the guys will put you close enough to hit paper out to 300yds.

For hunting and precision shooting he needs to verify the information at the range.
