Guys, I'm new here. I have a pre 64 Model 70 that is equipped with a Redfield base. The scope is interesting because it has no markings. It is a 4X with 2 horizontal line reticle and ofcourse 1 vertical line. The reticle adjusters are flush mount type set screws. This is an extremely clear and high quality scope but has no makers name, only the 4X focus. Any idea what it may be?

It looks like it could possibly be a Bausch & Lomb Balvar 8(b) 2.5-8 variable.  Since yours has the windage and elevation adjustments on the scope it's an 8b model (IF it's a Bausch & Lomb Balvar).  The 8A model had adjustments on the mount.

I´m also somewhat into the Bausch&Lomb scope idea. They made a Balfor 4x with adjustments, (both windage and elevation) on a B&L mount, could this scope be a "phase" between that scope and scopes with "normal" turrets ?

Is it possible to take a picture of the reticle ?

I have seen old B&L scopes with this type of adjustments (flush screws), but they all had different cosmetics on the ring in from of the eyepiece.
