All you suckers had the chance, it was on the Sample List at a great price, no takers. Suckers!

Report will follow.  It is going on the 40X and will be used to win the "Smack the Smily" contest.

I'll be running the Hensoldt side-by-side with my Premier 3-15 and will report on the finer points of each, as well as likes/dislikes.

Your loss is my gain, Merry Christmas to ME!

Sorrta my sentiments as well Trigger. As one friend of mine once said "A good deal on something when you don't have the money, is not a good deal".
RC I'm tickled for you, and I want a detailed report and evaluation on the Hensoldt.

I look forward to reading your thoughts on the two! The Hensoldt is impressive though from what I read in a review on Sniper Central.

No comaprisons to think so would be foolish...

It is known and has been known to be the best optics platform glass/scope in any war yet that our species has ever used...

To say that it will even compare or deserves to be on the same table is not giving it its due respect...

You won't like the fact that is a tank and you won't like the fact that you don't have enough money to replace all your scopes, you won't like the fact that the same reticle has been used for 40 years and this is the first time you have been able to sight something @1000yrds and know its size and have your dope told/adj. to/for you magically before your eyes...THE ZF(m)(k) 0-1000M reticle has been in SWAROVSKI, KAHLES, HENSOLDT/WETZLAR some early prototypes date back to the 50's

I can't find an exact reference to the ZF(m)(k) 0-1000M reticle, which is kind of weird if it has been around that long. Even just searching on ZF reticle or Hensoldt reticle doesn't show me any reticle that will allow me to "sight something @1000yrds and know its size and have your dope told/adj. to/for you magically before your eyes..." Is it one of the ones pictured below and can you please explain how it works?

SIMPLY STATED THE HEIGHT OF A MAN AT 1000M IS THE FARTHEST TO THE LEFT TOP AND BOTTOM BAR USUALLY IN FIXED POWER SCOPE ONLY W/  HENSOLDT / SWAROVKSI OPTIK / KAHLES HAVE PUT IT IN THE ZF(M)4X ZF(M)6X ZF(M) 10X ZF(M) 12X...THEY ARE COMPENSTATED FOR THE 7.62X51NATO M80 BALL THEN CONVERTED FOR OR TO NATO 118 PROJECTILE AS WELL AS OTHERS BUT WILL BE STATED IN THE SN# AND ISSUED DOC'S THIS WAS UNTIL THE "MIL" SYSTEM WAS "STANDARDIZED"...

Well, I see the logic of that for a man-sized object, just as I see the utility of mil-dot ranging on ~2 meter-sized targets. However, I don't see anything about these reticles that will tell me the actual size of an object whose size I don't already know. In other words, it wouldn't be able to tell me that an object is 17" instead of 18" high. No surprise there. It appears to be thoughtfully designed for the specific purpose you described but otherwise is yet another flavor of ranging reticle.

Hensoldt ships today, will be mounted on suppressed 40X with Badger USMC 34mm rings.

Sweet and creamy goodness!

DAMN UPS!

I am home!  I was here when you said you tried to deliver at 1:36 PM!  You didn't ring the bell, you didn't knock!  Did you come to the door and whisper, "Anyone home" only to run away and never be seen again?

Good things come to them who wait. Cool

Reminds me of the time I custom ordered a 442 W30 Olds  cutlass 1972 metalic green with black vinyl roof center consloe bucket seats exactly like I wanted it.  The car came in I went down to look at it the dealer told me they had to put it in make ready and it would be available to pick up the next day.   I arrived the next day and they had some bad news - it got stolen off the lot over night -  it was later found stripped and flipped down by the San Antonio River.   To add insult to injury it was too late in the year for the factory to take another special order.
