I've actually never used any aftermarket brake or comp on an AR and was looking for some advice from those that have. It's an area i'm weak on in the AR game but am looking to add one to a new build on the AR platform.

Any recommendations on certain products? I'm looking for something that will reduce muzzle flip but really am not concerned with noise so much as getting back on target quicker.

Thanks as always gents.

Heard a lot of good things about linear comps for ARs but never really tried one out.

Its a good brake. They are not pretty but work very very well. I have one on a 300win mag and it lets my son shoot it @ 500yards and he can see the splash on the steel. he was 10 when he started shooting it. he also can shoot it all day with no hurting shoulder or bruise.

I used a PWS FSC556 on one of mine and liked it, no one else around me liked it, but it really made the follow up shots faster.  The latest rage, I think, is the Battlecomp 2.0 from everything I have read.

Thanks guys. I've read a lot about he PWS brakes lately. Definitely sound like they do the job, but if you're standing next to one it's not to pleasant.

Thanks for the link BD, checking them out now.
