In mid-August I purchased a Swaro ATS 65 HD spotting scope.  I'm looking for a tri-pod that meets the following specifications:

1 - Cost of $150-$300.  I'm not looking to put a $1,600 scope on a $50 tripod, but I don't have much desire for a $500+ model either as I won't be using the scope for digiscoping purposes (strictly observation and hunting).

2 - Hopefully one that is functional and useful for bench shooting as well as durable for field use.

Thanks much.

I have been using a Vanguard model and have been extremly happy with it.  Mine costed me around $100 when all was said and done.  I think it goes from right around 30 inches up to 72 inches.  I have used it several times for scouting and have been very pleased, but I'm not putting a Swarvo 65 on it either.

Are you planning on hiking around a lot with it or is will it be more of a base camp/ 4 wheeler setup?
