My new Weaver V3 1-3x20 scope and Burris P.E.P.R. mount arrived today. The old fixed sights had to go to make room for the scope so I replaced them with modified Magpuls. I haven't tried it out yet but a new indoor range just opened about 20 miles from me and I'll head over there tomorrow and get it sighted in.

Nice setup , I'm interested in how that Burris mount with the quick release works out for you as I have read some mixed reviews. Best of luck and I look forward to the range report.

I shot it today and it's obvious that the trigger needs to be my next project. The scope works great but I have not tested removing and replacing it. What I don't like are the cheap Magpul sights which are only fit for emergencies but they'll do for now.

IF, you want to get into it and spend the money....... A Wilson TTU trigger is a great upgrade. I added the Wilson trigger, GG&G flip up sights, GG&G FLT scope mount and Vortex Viper 2x7 scope. Have way more money in my MP15-22 than I intended, but it's a fun little gun.
Also bought the barrel nut wrench which is a must if you want to tweak things. Having the wrench lets you check that the barrel nut is torqued to the right ft./lb. setting. I shoot mostly Federal bulk ammo. It is by no means a tack driver @ 50 yds, but it does just fine shooting minute of gopher or squirrel. Makes for a cheap, fun day out plinking.

Thanks for the information but I won't putting that much money into it. I have like 6 or 7 tack-driving custom 10/22s that I've built and for the M&P15-22 I'm limiting myself to what I've done plus a 2-stage trigger to keep it similar to my other ARs and my M1a's National Match trigger. I do need a barrel wrench in my tool kit though so I'll pick one up soon.
