I've been reading about scopes on here and feel more enlightened now. But now I need some mount wisdom.
What is a good quality ring and base. I've heard some about Tally on here, which I've never heard of. I have been using Warne and leupold weaver stlye set-ups. Are these good mounts?
What is the price range of good quality and then superb quality? When does it matter to go with the higher end stuff.
If I missed some questions that matter, just go on and tell me that too.
Thanks, guys
In just a few days of reading here, I feel better informed of scopes. Debunking my buddy about I need a 30mm for best low light.....

Warnes are good, solid mounts. Talley's are great...IMO a step up over Warnes. Either is 100% fine for typical hunting set-ups.

Got a friend who uses Talleys, he is an awesome shot and loves the things.  I still use my leupolds on my hunting rifles and I have a set or Burris xtreme tacticals on my 300WSM.  All are doing great.
Good Luck!Smile

I go with the Warnes whenever I can.  Have a set of old Talley/Swarovski on one rifle also.  They are nice.
