I just pruchased my first bolt action rifle, a Savage 10fp HS Percision with the following setup:

Bushnell Elite 3200 Tactical  5-15 x 40
Burris 1" XTR Rings
EGW 20 MOA Base

Mounted and bore sighted by the shop.  Got it to the rage today and I'm 6" low at 100 yds and I'm out of up elevation?????

Any Suggestions would be appreciated.

reset the elevation to the middle, where you have equal amounts of up and down remount the scope and then bore sight it yourself. pull the bolt out of the rifle, and point the rifle towards your target. make sure to put the barrel as close to the bull as you can, then adjust the scope until the cross hairs are centered in both windage and elevation. fire  a shot, you should be pretty close, you will have to make a few adjustments im sure but you will be close.

Also make sure canted base is on correctly. The thick end of the base should be towards the stock end of the rifle.
If it is tourist season, why can't we shoot them?

One would think these "shopfitters" would receive some basic training. I have fixed so many shopfits at the range that I have considered opening up a range repair shop!!!
