Welcome!!

Could you be a little more specific as to what type of animal your hunting for??

I have already surmised that you want a lightweight scope.

i have a S&B 1.25-4X20 flash dot #7 on a R700 titanium in 308 thats cut down the 17" that i use for my go to rifle for hunting, and with the scope, i can go down the 1.25X for mountains/woods work, and go up to 4X for field work.

but you want to spend a little less money, or dont want a illuminated reticle, take a look at the variable hunter 1.5-6X42 also, they're also an awesome scope.

i would buy the S&B over the swaro, becuase to my eye, the glass is clearer, and the scope appers brighter, and its a toss up between S&B, and zeiss. i however prefer S&B products over zeiss though.
