Contact these people. I know they make a mount but I'm not sure if it requires drilling and tapping. You may want to ask about the max scope objective diameter that will work.  Let us know what you find out if you would and then we'll work on a scope for ya.

Midas.........................Check out this Jeff Quinn article on "gunblast.com",,,click on "archives" then scroll down to 4/23/08.

Shows pics of his mount using a scout scope set-up on a Marlin Guide Gun and where to get it. You`ll need a shorter rail than what he uses to keep the ejection area clear. The mount and scope should be mounted forward from the ejection port if possible to keep the ejection area clear.

Because your rifle has top ejection, an EER scout scope set-up imo, is the best way to go. Either the Burris 2.75x or the Leupold 2.5x should work just fine.

If you don't want a scout set up and need ease of installation, get the Weaver 3B side mount.

I beleive my 94 is a post 64 I will have to check when I get back home in month just to make sure.  I have never tried a scout mount before and think that would be ok to try.  I don't mind the side mounts as I have one on my old Henry 22 lever gun that was my fathers and his fathers.  How far off would the side mount put shots at different ranges with the offset?

My uncle has a pre 64 Mdl 94 with a Weaver side mount (had to have the receiver drilled and tapped,UGH!!!!) and a K-2.5x scope he had setup in the early 60's. As I remember he never had problems sighting in or hitting a deer.
