hello to all,new here and like the info etc.Does anyone know what manufacturer makes the scopes for Mossberg? I have a.270 Mossberg that came with a 3-9 x40 scope.Seems like a good scope, always been able to hit paper doing less than inch groups at 400-800 yards on bipod.I put this scope on my Mossberg plinkster so am looking for decent scope for target out to 1000 yrd and deer hunting up to 500 yrd.I need more magnification and more light gathering at dusk etc. Is it possible to get a scope say 4-25x50.56 for decent price? How is the scope on the Mossberg night train .308? if the quality on that is as good as my original that would be fine.Any info I do appreciate and thank you/

Welcome domken!. IMO, a scope with 25X at the top end is way more than required. I'd suggest something (with as good glass as you can afford) with a top end of 12-15X. Check offerings from Minox (ZA5 group) or Zeiss Conquest. It really depends on your budget and preferences.
